Well, it’s Friday and I’m at work. I should be in Virginia right now chilling with James & Kristen and playing with Logan… since he’s now one year old, today. Because of serious thunderstorms in New York on Wednesday and Thursday, they cancelled a lot of flights and are still playing catch up. There was no chance we would have made it last night or this morning. We’re planning to fly out tonight to IAD (Washington DC) instead of RIC… since James and Kristen are driving to DC tomorrow anyway. We’ll just rent a car and see some of the sights in DC before the party. The plan as of last night was LGB – OAK – IAD.

Here’s Conan O’Brien’s solution: New Airline

I just got a message from Bill saying that the flights aren’t looking good tonight. As of now, we’ll have to make a pit stop in Ft Lauderdale if we want a couple of seats to IAD.

Plan as of 11:45: LGB-OAK-FLL-IAD.

Plan as of 12:30: LGB-FLL-IAD… 12 seats available to FLL, 26 stand bys. Hmmmm

Plan as of 5:00: LGB-OAK-FLL-IAD

Have a great weekend!

Sounds like staying home would be a pretty good plan, too.

Chris –Where is your Spirit of adventure? Have you forgotten the stand-by days on United and the unplanned opportunities missed flights resulted in?Alex, I hope that you and Bill made all of your flights and that you had a great weekend too.UJ

Heheh, no arguing on my blog! Bill and I made it just fine and were lucky enough to fly directly to IAD from OAK; no pit stop in Florida needed. The weather here is gorgeous and not too warm. I’ll have a lot of photos to share when I get home. We’re visiting Jamestown tomorrow… we figure that we’ve been to Virginia enough times, we should see some of it’s history.
