On the Monday before Thanksgiving, Bill and I packed up my car and drove north for Tommy’s first road trip. He slept most of the way with two stops to eat and a quick stop at the outlets in Gilroy. He did really well and wasn’t fussy until about San Jose when we could tell he was done with the car seat. We arrived after 9pm and settled in for the night.

Tuesday morning I took Tommy to Mom and Dad’s house while Bill slept in. Kristen and Logan came over along with Jan and Sara. Everyone was anxious to meet Tommy for the first time. Jackie and Arthur were still asleep in the other room when I arrived, so Tommy and I snoozed on the couch until everyone was awake.

Later that day we drove across the bridge to visit Grandma Reeves. Mom and Jackie met us over there with sandwiches for lunch.

This makes Grandma’s fifth great-grandchild!

Lollie was actually pretty good with another being on Grandma’s lap.

Later that evening we were back at Mom and Dad’s house for dinner. Everyone from the morning was back with the addition of Mark, Patrick, James and our friend Joanna.

It was a day packed with Tommy meeting new people. He did amazing being held by so many new faces. And slept quite a bit that night!

Grandma Reeves looks very happy with great grandchild #5.  In fact, everyone pictured looked really happy.  Tommy is a lucky boy to be born into a family with so much love to give.
