So the movers can’t get us moved until July 25th. Once they pack up our house, they said they will have our stuff to Utah sometime between the 28th and August 4th. I didn’t know it takes that long to drive to Utah.
In the mean time we are going through the stuff we have accumulated in the last six years for our garage sale, which was postponed to tomorrow. We have a lot of baby clothes, some baby gear, my clothes, books and a 56″ projection TV. What ever we don’t sell tomorrow will be donated. It will feel great to get rid of so much!!
Because of the moving delay, we were able to fly to Newark last weekend for Dad and Logan’s birthday party. We had some delicious smoked tri-tip and had a wonderful time. We flew home on Monday the fourth and while deplaning Tommy decided to say goodbye… to everyone:
Perhaps we should pitch this to the marketing folks and see if we can bring in a pay check!
As soon as we left the airport we went to a barbecue at our friends’ Mel and Mahsa’s. They have a big 4th of July BBQ every year. There was a lot of wonderful food and lots of fun water toys for the kiddies to play with. They even positioned the slide over the kiddie pool. Which was a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, Tommy was operating on a mere thirty minute nap and was melting down at every little thing. I took him upstairs to Max’s room and he passed out within a few minutes and slept for a little over an hour. He SO needed that nap. Afterward he was very groggy so we headed home a bit early, with the hope of getting him to bed before the loud fireworks began. He didn’t even flinch when neighbors started in with their fireworks.
More to come as the move date approaches.
