Our House is For Sale

I wanted to share some photos and the listing for our house in Lakewood. If anyone knows anyone looking to buy a house in the greater Long Beach, CA area, please check out our house.

Here is the link on Trulia.com. I’m sending these more recent photos to our realtor so she can update the listing.

We’ve done some upgrading to make it more appealing to potential buyers. These improvements were on our to-do list when we were still living there.

The kitchen floor has been replaced with tile and all of the cabinets painted. The countertop is brand new granite and the sink and faucet are brand new too. The gas range and refrigerator are six years old and come with the house.

View from the living room into the kitchen. Through the doorway in the back is a walk-in pantry and the back door leading to the backyard.

We ripped out the carpet and refinished the original hardwood floors. There are plantation shutters in all three bedrooms and the living room. I love those shutters and already miss them!

There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom is really big for these houses and there is a ton of closet space throughout the house, including some attic storage.

The master bathroom has a walk-in closet in addition to the big closet in the master bedroom. The master bedroom also has a beamed ceiling.

The backyard is nice and big with a covered patio, a shed, fruit trees and raised vegetable bed. I’ll try to get a photo of the backyard after we get the lawn mowed. It looked a bit like a jungle out there!

The neighborhood is quiet and there are lots of families. It’s pretty busy on Halloween. The neighbors are wonderful and friendly.

The house is a mere two blocks from Stephen Foster Elementary School which has high API scores. One more block and you’re at Mayfair Park with a community center, public swimming pool, playgrounds and sports fields. Lakewood Mall and dozens of restaurants are a ten to fifteen minute walk in the other direction.

Please share this listing so we can get our house sold. Paying a mortgage AND rent is no fun. Thank you!

Oh, it is such a shame you didn’t have a chance to do these remodel items while you still lived there and could have enjoyed them.  Honestly, if we had the cash to share, having a house in LA to split our time in would be a nice thing.  Sadly, no flow.
