Backyard Garden Update

A quick update on how our garden is doing. We’ve had weather all over the place in the last few weeks, including a couple of nights near freezing, but everything has survived. Quite a few days of temps into the 90s made our plants quite happy.

Here’s how it looked when we first planted everything on April 20th:

And just this past weekend:

Neato! I added a couple of tomato cages (and I need at least two more) and Bill built an easy way for two of the tomato plants and the sugar snap peas to climb. Very simple.

Tommy inspecting how the first of our sugar snap peas are doing.

and his strawberries:

He got to pick this one a couple of days ago. He took one bite and refused to eat the rest.

Trying out some macro photography with his toddler camera.

Okay, maybe he’s taking it a little too seriously…

The tripod was out because we needed to take a family photo for a blog I’m working on (details to come soon).

Not too bad considering the sun was going down and we just used the tripod and built-in timer.
