Ukrania Trail, Garin Park
Once we found a good spot to hide our geocache, we headed back out to Garin Park the next morning with Grandpa and Matthew. It was a little cloudy and a little bit cooler than the afternoon before. But it was yet another wonderful hike with no whining. Hikes are much more fun when Grandpa comes too.
We spent some time with Grandpa looking for two geocaches in the area and got him hooked on how fun it is to find them. One was even a multi-cache where we had to follow clues at one spot to get the GPS coordinates for the actual cache. The sun came out too!
We hid our geocache among some rocks and did our best to use the GPS coordinates on my iPhone. I later learned that they were way off, so we disabled our geocache and Grandpa will go back another time when he can use a dedicated GPS device.
On the way back to our car, we were sidelined by the resident cows. They just looked at us with expressions that said, “Move me.” 😉 So we cut across a lumpy field to get to the other side of the trail.
Oh, and Matthew napped.
