It was a great week with Michael and Sara staying with us as they spent three days vacationing at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.

Thursday afternoon Bill and I met Michael and Sara at Disneyland for some fun of our own. It amazed me just how many people were there on a weekday during a “slow” period. Thankfully we weren’t run over by any strollers… this time. We rode on a few of my favorite rides including the Indiana Jones ride, Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The lines were a bit too long for some of the other rides as the park was closing at 9pm because of Grad Nite.

Before dark, but after the princesses were done signing autographs, we made our way just to the right of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle to Snow White’s Grotto and Wishing Well. There were a couple of other park visitors there, but, for the most part, it was quiet.

Here we are, and me, subtly hiding a red box behind my back as we wait for a young couple to leave. Michael couldn’t carry it around with him all day…

Michael suggested they make a wish at the Wishing Well….

Which turned into this…

Yes, ladies and gentleman, she said yes and they lived happily…. well…  you know how it ends.

It was such an honor to be part of this and to be there snapping pictures. Photography credit goes to Bill, he did a great job with Michael’s camera.

After everyone had a moment to compose themselves, we had Micahel do a reinactment and we took a few cute photos of the newly engaged couple:

Here she’s saying, “wow babe, you did good.”

All together now, oooooooh

Congratulations Michael and Sara!

Yeah!  Fantastic news!  Did your parents know beforehand?

@christao408 – Mom and Dad both knew that he’d purchased the ring, and they knew he was working on a proposal. But as far as when he planned to do it, that was a surprise. Her parents knew about the same. Michael went and asked her dad for his blessing about a week ago. Patrick knew the whole plan as we often bounced ideas off of him.

Fabulous news!!! We knew it was going to take place in the park sometime during this trip, just not when exactly. Did Michael throw up afterward?
